We are in studio and available to help with all of your gifting needs Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm. If you would like to contact us outside of our hours of operation, please feel free to send us a chat message or email at hello@blackbowgiftco.ca and we will be sure to respond within 2 business hours when we are back in studio.

All gifts are handmade to order, and there are 3 processing times that you can choose from:

With normal processing time, your gift is ready within 2-3 business days from time of order placed. To select this option, choose "As Soon As Possible" when adding your gift to your cart.

Rush services are available for an additional fee if you would like your gift to be made ready for shipping, pick up, or hand delivery within 24 business hours. If your order is placed Monday-Friday before 11am AST, your gift will be made ready the same day. Any rush orders placed after 11am AST, or on weekends will be made ready the following business day. To select this option, choose "Rush" when adding your gift to your cart.

You can also shop ahead and use our delayed option by choosing a future date for your gift to be shipped out, hand delivered, or picked up. Please note: if your gift is shipping your gift, your selected date is when your gift will ship from our studio and not the date of delivery. To selected a delayed date, choose "Future Date" when adding your gift to your cart.

Shipping:

We offer shipping across Canada from our studio in Nova Scotia for a flat rate of $22 via Canada Post.

Faster shipping is available with Xpresspost & Priority offered at checkout. Rates are based on your recipient's address.

Free shipping is available on purchases over $400 for up to 4 gifts shipping to a single location.

Benefit from bulk shipping savings on purchases of 5+ gifts of any order value shipping to a single location, with costs as low as $4-$12 per gift.

Approximate shipping transit times are as follows. Please note that during the holidays or peak seasons, there may be additional shipping delays beyond these estimated timeframes.

• Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI: Approx. 1-3 business days

• Ontario & Quebec: Approx. 2-4+ business days

• Newfoundland: Approx. 3-7+ business days

• Other Canadian Provinces/Territories: Approx. 4−9+ business days.

We offer international shipping for gifts as well. Please contact us at hello@blackbowgiftco.ca for more info on international shipping rates and transit times. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any gifts shipped internationally that may be searched or refused by customs.

PO Box Disclaimer: Some addresses require the use of a PO Box to ship packages and the regular shipping rate may not apply. Unfortunately, we are not able to assess this cost until your gifts are made and packed for shipping. If applicable, we will reach out with additional shipping fees.

Hand Delivery:

Gifts can be hand delivered to your recipient(s) within the inner Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Lower Sackville, and Eastern Passage areas for a rate of $16. We will reach out to your recipient(s) to arrange the best time for delivery once your gift is ready, or on your selected delayed date. Hand deliveries are available Monday-Friday only.

We are happy to provide special quotes for hand deliveries in NS to areas outside of outside of our delivery zone (Tantallon, Hammonds Plains, Fall River, Enfield, etc.). Please reach out to us at hello@blackbowgiftco.ca for more info.

Pickup:

Free studio pickup is available at our studio in Dartmouth if you would like to pick up your gifts(s) in person during our business hours from Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

Yes we do! Free shipping is automatically available at checkout for orders over $400 for up to 4 gifts shipping to a single location.

Yes to both. Shipping multiple gifts to one address will always provide you with the best economies of scale and lowers your cost to ship per gift. If you are shipping gifts to multiple locations in the same order, you will be able to enter the different shipping addresses at checkout.

You can select as many gifts shipping to one location or different locations as you’d like in the same order.

Simply add the gifts you’d like to purchase to your cart. If you are selecting more than one of the same pre-designed gift and would like a different card message for each recipient, we recommend adding each gift to your cart individually which will allow you to enter personalized messages for each.

When you are are ready to checkout, click on "View Cart" and select the box at the top of the page titled "Ship To Multiple Addresses”. This will allow you to enter individual shipping addresses for each gift in your cart.

If you are looking to place an order for multiple gifts and need our help, please reach out to us at hello@blackbowgiftco.ca and we will advise on the best way to process your order so we can get started on your thoughtful gifts!

If an incorrect address is provided, if your recipient has moved, the parcel was refused at the door, or was not picked up at the recipient's post office, Canada Post will return your gift to our studio. If your gift is deemed undeliverable, we will contact the number or email address provided at the time of order.

Additional fees will apply to have your gift returned to the Black Bow studio and shipped back out with a new shipping label. To avoid unnecessary fees, it is very important that you confirm and provide the correct address(es) for your recipient(s) when placing your order.

If we are unable to contact the individual who placed the order and cannot make arrangements within 30 days of the order being placed, we will consider the gift abandoned.

Our gifts arrive beautifully presented, and it is our standard to send gifts exactly as shown when purchasing Pre-Designed gifts.

When you design your own gift box, we will always email you a photo of your gift once it has been handmade for you to see!

If a substitution is required, we will always contact you to select the most appropriate replacement for your special gift of equal or greater value. We intend to exceed your expectations each and every time as we aim to build a long term relationship with you and be your #1 go-to for all your gifting needs!

Yes, and this is the most affordable option for customization. We can change the ribbon color, remove our branding and add custom tags, seals, or notes to align with your brand. For corporate gifting projects, we typically require a minimum of 1-2 months for up to 100 gifts, and 2-3 months for 100 or more gifts. We can accommodate shorter timelines in some instances depending on the products and materials sourced for your gifts.

Yes, we are happy to offer custom gift design services which comes with an additional fee. Our gifting team will work with you one-on-one to bring your specific gift vision to life based on the occasion, budget, timeline, and items you would like to include. We will present you with mocked options and ensure that all details in your gift(s) are exactly as you intend!

Please note that this is not the same as our "Design A Gift" feature here where you can choose from over 300 products to create a gift that is uniquely yours any time!

We absolutely do! Gift cards may be purchased on our website by searching “gift card” and selecting a denomination between $25 and $200. Our gift cards have no expiry and can be used towards any gifts or products on our website.

All orders are final sale and non-refundable. At Black Bow Gift Co., we take great pride in making sure that your gift arrives exactly as you intended. If your order arrives and you are not satisfied, please contact us at hello@blackbowgiftco.ca within 24 hours and we would be happy to work with you.

We are always sourcing new products for our everyday collections, as well as for our corporate clients and projects. We may employ outside companies to perform functions on our behalf such as delivering orders, sending emails and processing credit card payments. • How do I know I am a corporate gifter?

If you are sending gifts on behalf of your business, you are a corporate gifter! Corporate gifting is simply the practise of treating your clients, customers, employees or professional connections and is not based on industry, business size or frequency of gifting.

•What are the options for adding my brand?

The sky is the limit and ultimately depends on your vision, budget and timeline available. Incorporating your brand on custom products requires a timeline of at least 3 weeks and quantities ranging from 48+ gifts. You can also incorporate your brand on any gift on our website and printed materials (like custom message cards, gift tags, etc.) are your most cost effective option and require a timeline of at least 1 week. Consult with your gift concierge for more information.

• Can I send you my own products to include in a gift?

Yes, we are happy to discuss how we can incorporate a product you already have into a pre-designed or custom gift. Fees apply for items used in gifts not sourced by Black Bow Gift Co. and depend on the overall size of the item and budget of your gift. Consult with your gift concierge for more information.

• How much time to I need for bulk or large scale gifting?

We always say, the longer the timeline the more options we can offer, the shorter the timeline you can expect your options to be more limited. For in stock inventory and options, we always recommend reaching out at least 2-3 months in advance for 100+ gifts. For gift quantities of 25-100, we recommend 1-2 months

• What is the process to start a corporate gifting project?

• Where do you ship?


We ship anywhere in Canada, except gifts containing alcohol which can only be shipped in Nova Scotia (Spirits hand delivered in HRM Only). We are also happy to organize international shipping. Contact us directly for detailed international shipping information.


• Can you send the gifts directly to my recipients?


Yes, and we pride ourselves on the perfect presentation and unboxing of your shipped gift. We also maintain a real-time tracking system that will help you keep up with delivery times and notifications. Our website also allows you to ship to multiple locations in one order using our 'Multi-Ship' feature and is perfect when sending 1-20 gifts.


• Can I ship all the gifts to one location?


Yes, we are well equipped to handle bulk shipping and make sure your gifts arrive in perfect condition. At this time, bulk shipping to one location is only available within Canada.


• Can I choose the ship and delivery dates?


Yes, but note that the date of shipping is different from date of delivery and delivery times will vary depending on the destination location. When bulk shipping, we recommend to secure a spot in our corporate calendar to ensure your preferred ship date, especially during our busy seasons. We are happy to consult on the ideal ship date if you have an event or specific date you need your gifts to arrive by.


• How much does shipping cost?


The average shipping cost for shipped gifts ranges from $4-$12/gift and depends ultimately if you are shipping in bulk to one location or to individual locations. Additional fees are applicable when shipping alcohol or when requiring signature delivery.


• How long does shipping take?

Shipping times vary across the country and also depend on seasonal fluctuations. Your gifting concierge can provide estimates based on your specific needs. Faster shipping options are always available and a quote can always be made available.

• Do you offer pick up or hand delivery?


Yes! We offer hand deliveries in the Halifax, Bedford, Dartmouth and Sackville areas for a rate of $16 per gift delivery and your recipient will be contacted to organize a delivery time around their schedule. Bulk deliveries must be organized and booked in our corporate calendar and additional costs may apply. Free pickup is always available in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia studio, from Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

• Any other additional shipping fees to note?


Gifts that are returned due to an incorrect address require additional fees to be returned to us and reshipped. To avoid unnecessary fees, it is very important that we have correct addresses for your recipients and we are happy to offer services to help you collect this information.
