Black Bow Gift Co. is seeking a bright, motivated, hardworking individual to fill the Customer Experience/ Sales position at our studio in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. The Customer Experience/Sales team member is a pivotal member of our team and the ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, has a commitment to exceptional customer service and a desire to see and contribute to business success and growth. You should be a detail-oriented, motivated individual who loves to get things done and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves. This person has mastered the ability to quickly and effectively solve customer issues, questions or concerns while representing the business in a kind and helpful manner and understands how to effectively impact business revenue. This individual is expected to understand the basic aspects of the gift making production and adhere to safety, quality, and service standards. This role reports directly to the owner.

Position #1 - Customer Experience/Sales Representative - Full Time M-F

Location:Dartmouth, Nova Scotia 

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • Works directly with the gifting team and oversees Shopify, ensuring orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and customer service issues are handled
  • Ensures that all interactions with clients and vendors is helpful, concise, positive and in line with brand standards
  • Perform customer outreach including, but not limited to resolving address issues, product substitutions, organizing couriers, etc
  • Assist in the development and implementation of proven and strategic eCommerce sales strategies including email marketing flows and campaigns
  • Assist in the research and development and management of our Corporate Product Catalog
  • Manage internal corporate inventories
  • Always be one-step ahead, anticipating client and business needs and staying organized to get ahead of daily/weekly challenges. Learn and understand the needs of VIP and corporate clients to be able to provide a high standard of customer service
  • Stay on top of and assist in the development of our ever-changing customer service and sales model and processes, book of clients and product catalogs and are proactive in suggesting strategic improvements to help us win
  • Design creative gift box curations for clients both everyday and corporate (note this is not gift making)
  • Assist with the printing shipping labels and card writing as required
  • Stay on top of product trends, conducting research on the latest and greatest products we can pitch to our clients and offer in our everyday line
  • Use of e-commerce management software including but not limited to Shopify, Shipstation, Klaviyo and Canva, and project management skills an asset


  • Clear, strong and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and experienced customer service skills
  • Experience and knowledge in sales and eCommerce sale strategies including development and implementation of strategies (e.g. direct sales, email marketing, ad marketing, website management/design, etc.)
  • Positive, can-do attitude

Position #2 - Gift Maker - Full Time M-F

Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia


  • Primarily responsible for various stages of the gift making process including card writing, making and perfecting gifts, bow tying, preparing gift accents (mini bouquets) and shipping preparation and fulfillment
  • Process gift orders to meet online service standards and corporate project timelines
  • Work alongside our customer service team to offer our clients a fun, smooth and upscale gifting experience with Black Bow Gift Co. 
  • Work alongside the studio team to ensure smooth and efficient operational processes
  • Assist in various other studio activities when required (e.g. inventory management and strategic planning)
  • Overseeing and ensuring the gifting work space is clean and set up for maximum efficiency 
  • Design and mock new gift ideas for upcoming seasons and for corporate projects when required
