Position #1: Gift Maker/Studio Assistant 

Hours - 8am-4pm - Monday to Friday - This position is full time

Hourly Rate - $14.25 - $16/hourwith opportunities to advance into a Managerial Role for the right candidate 

Location: Russell Lake Area Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for various stages of the gift making process including card writing, making and perfecting gifts, bow tying, preparing gift accents (mini bouquets) and shipping preparation and fulfillment
  • Process gift orders to meet online service standards and corporate project timelines
  • Work alongside our customer service team to offer our clients a fun, smooth and upscale gifting experience with Black Bow Gift Co. 
  • Work alongside the studio team to ensure smooth and efficient operational processes and assist in other operational activities as required (e.g. processing and unpacking incoming product orders)
  • Assist in various other studio activities when required (e.g. inventory management and strategic planning)
  • Overseeing and ensuring the gifting work space is clean and set up for maximum efficiency 
  • Design and mock new gift ideas for upcoming seasons and for corporate projects when required

Qualifications:

  • A positive and energetic attitude
  • Fast learner, a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Must have excellent punctuality, attendance, and reliability and be able to commute to our Dartmouth studio 
  • Strong attention to detail and patience
  • Natural ability and desire to work in a creative environment
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high quality standard
  • Must have a high standard for cleanliness and organization 
  • Open, honest and active communication
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and skills 
  • Must be able to work with a dog on site
  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment - we are still new and growing with lots of changes in our future
  • Ability to work in a scented workspace
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds in weight

Position #2: Customer Service Assistant 

Hours - 8am-4pm - Monday to Friday - This position is for an 8 week seasonal position with opportunity to transition to permanent after the 8 week placement

Hourly Rate - $14.25
