The last day for orders to be ready before the holidays is Dec 21st at 4:00pm AST. All orders placed after this time will be processed after January 4th under our normal 1-3 day business turn around. Our studio closed from Dec 23rd to January 3rd with orders resuming shipping and delivery for January 4th.
We are open for business and offering shipping across Canada with local Halifax delivery or FREE studio pickup always available in our Dartmouth studio. More specifically if you select:- Shipping Across Canada - Your gift will be shipped/ready within our normal timeframes (within 1-3 Business Days). Shipping delays are to be expected, especially in areas where COVID is more active. Currently we are seeing delivery times of 2 days to 1.5+ weeks to Ontario, 1-5 days within the Maritimes and 5 days to 1.5+ weeks everywhere else in Canada when you select our regular expedited parcel. Faster delivery options available when you select Xpresspost or Priority options. Delivery times are completely outside of our control and vary city by city due to COVID-19 and we are advising all of our clients to account for shipping delays and to shop early. Please account for 1-3 days for our team to process your order. Rush options are available if you contact us. - Local Halifax Courier - All couriers can be delivered on your date of choice. Please account for 1-3 business days for our team to process your order. Rush services can be made available if you contact us. - Pickup - You can pickup your gift on your date of choice or as soon as possible. Please account for 1-3 business days for our team to process your order. Rush services can be made available if you contact us. We will provide you will pickup details and instructions once your order is confirmed.
We offer rates for inner areas of Halifax only but are happy to offer special hand delivery rates for areas outside of the inner HRM area (e.g. Tantallon, Hammonds Plains, Fall River, Enfield). All orders are processed within 1-3 business days. If courier is selected we will contact your gift recipient to organize the best time for delivery as gifts will never be left unattended or unsigned for. Free studio pickup is available and can be selected at checkout. To see the free studio pickup option please enter your local address when asked for your shipping information.
Delayed shipping is always available simply indicate the date you would like your gift shipped, couriered or ready for pickup.
All gifts are shipped from Nova Scotia via Canada Post Monday to Friday. Orders that are shipped outside of HRM will be shipped within 1-3 business days. We ship Canada Post Expedited Parcel, with signature delivery which means your gift will never be left unattended and is guaranteed to be in the hands of the person you intended. Please note these are NORMAL ship times across Canada and what can be expected in areas where COVID is not as active (note shipping times cannot be guaranteed).

• Large orders - Multiple boxes delivered to a single location are typically boxed together.
• Special instructions - Please note that special instructions may delay your order if we require follow-up.
• Multiple locations - Be sure to not by-pass the review of your cart page as that is where you will click the box and identify you are shipping to multiple locations.
• Hotels & Hospitals - We recommend only shipping to hospitals and hotels in HRM as we cannot guarantee a delivery date when shipping through Canada Post. If shipping in HRM, please make sure to provide the recipient’s full name, room number and indicate if the recipient is a patient, guest or employee.
• Apartments & Townhouses - Please be aware that the recipient will be called to organize courier. If the gift is being delivered to an apartment or condo without concierge services the order may be delayed until we can confirm someone is available to accept the delivery.
• If you are in need of a rush gift or weekend delivery please contact us at hello@blackbowgiftco. Rush fees apply to both rush gifting and weekend deliveries. Rush gifting and weekend deliveries cannot be guaranteed and require confirmation from us.
It is our goal to have your gift delivered right away. Gifts are completed within 48 business hours. After your order is placed so we cannot change your gift within 48 hours of the shipping date. Orders received before 10:00 AST Monday to Friday are processed the next business day. For example if you place your order by 9:30am Monday morning your gift will be ready for shipping, delivery or pickup by Tuesday. If you place your order 11:30am Monday your gift will be ready for shipping, delivery or pickup by Wednesday.
Shipping large quantities of gifts is never a problem so please contact us for an accurate shipping quote if you are looking to order 4 or more gifts.
Yes, we have order minimums for our Custom Gift Design services (note this is not the same as 'Design Your Own' feature). Order minimums vary depending on the gift type (i.e. client/employee appreciation, corporate events, wedding welcome, bridal party, etc.)
We have no order minimums for our Pre-Designed Gifts or when you design your own gift which are available here or our 'Design Your Own' here in our online shop. If you are interested in a gift that appears to be sold out, please contact us, and we will make sure we can fulfill your quantity needs for that gift.
Customized gifts and designing your own gift online are two separate services. Typically custom projects require a minimum of 4-6 weeks from start to finish. We can accommodate rush orders in some instances depending on the products and materials sourced for your gift. Yes, and this is your most affordable option for customization. We can change up the ribbon, remove our branding and add custom tags or notes to align with your brand if your quantity is above 12 gifts. We sure do! All you need to do is shop for the gifts you want using either select the gifts or design your gifts, and you will have the option to choose which gift will go to which address at checkout. Be sure to not by-pass the review of your cart page as that is where you will click the box and identify you are shipping to multiple locations. A button box will appear at the top of the page of your 'View Cart' page to prompt the multiple shipping feature. Be sure to give this button a few seconds to load. If it does not appear try refreshing your page.
All orders are final sale and non-refundable. At Black Bow Gift Co. we take great pride in making sure your gift arrives looking beautiful! If your order arrives and you are not satisfied, please contact us within 24 hours, and we would be happy to work with you.
Our gifts arrive beautifully presented, and it is our standard to send gifts as shown when purchasing Pre-Designed Gifts. When you design your own gift we will always send you a photo of your gift after it is complete. If a substitution is required we will always contact you to select the most appropriate for your special gift of equal or greater value. Please know that we intend to exceed your expectations each and every-time as we aim to build a long term relationship with you and be your #1 go-to for all your gifting needs.
Sometimes gifts can be returned if there was an incorrect address, the item was refused at the door, the order went missing, the recipient moved, or the address was deemed unsafe for delivery. If your gift is returned to our studio, we will contact the number or email address provided at the time of order.
• If delivery is attempted for a second time, an additional delivery fee will be applied.
• If we are unable to contact the individual who placed the order and therefore cannot make arrangements within 30 days of the order being placed, we will consider the gift abandoned.
